I am an independent designer who is passionate about creating!I am located in Boone, NC and graduation from ASU with a degree in Interior Design.

• What is the name of your Shop?

La Mia Designs, Handbags, accessories, and Home Accents.

• Please describe your creative process

I work at all hours, mostly late at night and on the weekends…whenever I can find time between work and life.I use many different materials, fabric, leather, vintage found items, beads, trims and fringe occasionally.I do a lot of sewing on my industrial machine, I have a serger and home machine too.

• Where do your ideas come from?

Inspiration is found in all aspects of my life, especially my environment, I live in the mtns..so the beauty really inspires me

• How did you get into your craft?

I have sewn many years and it evolved over time especially when I was in college…I have been crafty and artistic since I was little.

• Apart from creating things, what do you do?

I work a full time job at an art supply company, I love to hike, spend time with my husband, cook and enjoy life!

• How do you promote your work?

Internet, blogs, website, chamber of commerce, word of mouth
