• Tell me a bit about yourself

”Glintbymich” is the lovechild of Mich and Chad. We were based in Sydney more than a year ago, and only just moved to Melbourne, Australia.

• Please describe your creative process

Still trying to figure out if there’s a process, but whenever an idea pops up, we discuss on how to make it happen. We try to work with material and colour contrasts, mixing old and new, modern and vintage, soft and hard textures, really just to have fun in the process!

• Where do your ideas come from?

Mostly, our inspiration comes from places we visit, art that we’ve seen, and vintage finds we’ve come across.

• How did you get into your craft?

I started making my own jewelry when I got tired of the run of the mill jewelry, and as I got more sophisticated in the craft, Chad specialised in the ‘engineering’, soldering, putting things together. Now I’m more of the sales person, while Chad’s moving towards design. It’s a rather organic relationship that’s evolved.

• Apart from creating things, what do you do?

When we are not creating, we are online promoting our store! Because we are in a different time zone from the rest of the world, most of the promotional work is done at night, we are slowing becoming insomniacs!

• How do you promote your work?

We’ve done the usual, chatting on forums, blogging, participating in festivals and I’m always accessorised from head to toe whenever we go out!
