I feature Emily, this is her interview
What is the name of your Shop?
“subu, inc.” named after my grandmothers sue (aka subu) and rose.
- Which is your craft style?
A fellow etsy seller once described my style as understated elegance, never tacky and never overdone. I kind of like that.
- What types of items do you sell?
I sell handmade books, notepads and recycled notebooks as well as pottery created by my father.
- How did you get into your craft?
I was bored at work. it was a slow time and i had nothing to do. I had been playing around on craftster.org and found a tutorial for making a book. I was hooked.
- Where does your inspiration come from?
Everything… I get inspired by pretty paper and gorgeous fabrics. I get inspired by watching movies and listening to great music. I get inspired seeing other people doing what they love.
- How do you promote your work?
I think the better question is how DON’T I promote my work. I have a blog, I have a MySpace, I have a flickr account, I have an Etsy Shop, I do local craft shows, I’m part of the PRIZEY network for blog giveaways, and a ton of other groups on sites like livejournal and wordpress. most importantly, my family and friends talk about me to anyone that will listen. it all helps.
