Project Wonderful is an online site that allows business owners and website administrators to buy and sell advertising via an “infinite auction.” People bidding on advertising space basically state what they are willing to pay and what days you are interested in advertising for each ad space. If a bidder is the high bid, at that moment and until they are outbid or their big expires, their ad will appear on the site they’ve chosen. Maximum bids can be changed or canceled at any time. Ads are offered in a variety of sizes. Many sites accept animated ads, but some do not. The Project Wonderful system even keeps track of how many clicks your ad gets from each bid. Website administrators can choose to approve any ad appearing on their site and how much the minimum bid must be. However, if no minimum bid is set, bidding starts at $0. For bidders, this means that, unless someone is bidding against you, you get the advertising for free!
Many smaller sites and blogs offer Project Wonderful advertising on their sites. However, sites as large as Craftster and Indie Parade offer advertising through this venue.
